the concrete and steel stadiums of the great American
pastime including such ballparks as Yankee Stadium,
Ebbets Field, the Polo Grounds, Fenway Park and more.
Erected in
1909 in Philadelphia, Shibe Park is given credit as
being the first modern baseball park. The Polo Grounds
was built in 1911, followed quickly by Comisky Park
in Chicago, Navin field in Detroit, and Wrigley Field.
By 1915 every major city had a modern new field with
it’s own unique style and personality.
